"to provide rest, recreation, entertainment and spiritual guidance for seafarers in Felixstowe without restriction of nationality, race or creed."
We intend that the Centre should be an enjoyable Christian environment for all seafarers and staff.
The Centre is a place where seafarers can relax and unwind away from the ship. They are made to feel welcome by the friendly staff and volunteer helpers. Of paramount importance there is a Chapel for worship services and private prayer. There is also a bar, shop, recreation area for tabletop games, TV room and a quiet room to sit and write home. In addition to telephones, the internet, fax, currency exchange and mail facilities, there is a large library of books, Bibles in various languages, foreign papers and magazines.
There is a 15-seater bus, driven by paid and unpaid staff, for ferrying seafarers from their ships to and from the Centre. The current bus was purchased with a grant made by Trinity House.
