Many seamen who have visited Felixstowe will know Ken. He has been a Chaplain with BISS for over 26 years, and he has worked in Kingston Jamaica and Antwerp in Belgium. Yet Ken's knowledge of life at sea runs deeper still, because before becoming a chaplin he served in the British Merchant Navy on Bulk Carriers, Tankers and Ferries. Ken is married and has a son at college. You will soon appreciate Ken's knowledge of life at sea combined with a practical approach to helping people if you see him in the centre or on one of his ships' visits.

I started Chaplaincy to Seafarers just over 2 years ago in Aberdeen (Scotland). Prior to that I served as a Hospital Chaplain for 14 years. As a member of a Catholic Religious Order of Sisters, I have enjoyed the opportunity of spending time in Rumania, Sri Lanka and more recently in Congo. Since arriving in Felixstowe just over a year ago I continue to enjoy the blessing of meeting Seafarers from every corner of the world here at the centre or during Ship visits.
